Throughout my career, I have worked as a legal practitioner, been a Member of Parliament, served as a Minister in the South Australian Government and held multiple leadership positions across boards, committees and councils.
The Hon. Gregory Crafter was admitted as a legal practitioner of the Supreme Court of South Australia in 1978, and joined Johnston Withers as a consultant in July 1994.
Greg is highly regarded throughout the State of South Australia following a distinguished career as a Member of the South Australian Parliament for the Electorate of Norwood from 1979 until 1993.
During most of that time, he served as a Minister in the South Australian Government holding the portfolios:
Community Welfare (1982-1985)
Aboriginal Affairs (1982-1988)
Education and Children’s Services (1985-1992)
Housing, Urban Development, Local Government Relations, Recreation and Sport (1992-1993)
Greg was made an officer in the Order of Australia (AO) in the New Year's honours list 2009. He holder Honorary Doctorates from the University of Adelaide and the Australian Catholic University.
Greg has gained international recognition as President of the Geneva based International Baccalaureate Organisation and Chairman of the Organisation’s Executive Committee from 1996-2003.
